Has the feel of a better armed and electronic suited Devastator.
Not a bad thing either.

So far the only thing I can think of for a change would be drop the half ton of armor, losing 3 points, and putting in an ersl in maybe the rear.
If you aren't using the spls you are actually running cool. Which isn't a bad thing either. Thought pull one sink for like extra ammo for the gauss, but even that isn't really needed.

Definitely follows the original clan idea of sitting back using superior range to destroy the target.

I could see alot of innersphere units wanting this unit.

Nice one. Like a Clan Exterminator. The ECM's a bit non-Clan, but the Clans learned to like ECM after fighting in the Inner Sphere for a while.

Only draw back I found was that it drew fire, granted that was going to happen, but it wasn't the first thing I was expecting. ECM does come in handy, very much so as the time moves forward.

Cool unit. If I were to fiddle with the design, I'd swap the locations of the ER PPC's and Gauss Rifles. (An exploding Gauss does significant damage, on a clan XL engine machine that's two engine crits automatically.) Put the Gauss rifles in the arms and the PPCs in the side torsos, with clan CASE the explosion will just destroy the arm. Maybe also ditch two small pulse lasers for two ER medium lasers (that gives you a more diverse range of backup weapons) the clan ER medium is one of the most efficient weapons in the entire game.

I agree with ghost, 36 heat dissipation is a bit more than you need, you could drop a heat sink and still fire every long-range weapon while running and never overheat.

Since this unit has both an ECM and a Probe, (2 tons, 2 crits) maybe consider this new system...

It does the job of both an ECM and a Probe but only weighs 1.5 tons and 2 crits.. but also acts as a programmable-on-the-fly C3! (generates two heat when it's on.)

That depends on if you are buying or fighting it.

Not sure about the clans in the 3100's but the initial invasion would have them not wanting any sort of c3 system. The idea of someone stealing a kill would have resulting in a duel in the field. Also, most would not want to fire on a mech already engaged in battle with another clan unit.

Granted game play is far different then the role playing aspects of it.

The Nova CEWS was banned for use in 'Mech designs.
That kind of kills that idea for anything being done to remain canon. Still IS warriors wouldn't mind it, except the limited amount of unit could connect to it.

Ghostrider means canonically I think, not literally banned by the construction rules.

The article for the Nova CEWS also says it's banned for Mechs and gives the citation as The Wars of Reaving Supplemental, p. 18, "Tools Of Blood"

It is the last statement in the wiki here before they go into the game terms.

After the end of the Wars of Reaving Clan Stone Lion was given permission to experiment with the Nova CEWS, but only if they used the system in solahma and second line vehicle Points facing non-Clan opponents. The Nova CEWS was banned for use in 'Mech designs.[1].

The link Happyguy49 gives is where you can find this at. Had to use the wiki as I don't have tools of blood.

Interesting that the system was made by the rogue scientist caste.

And no. It is not banned in the construction rules.

Stone Lions are a new homeworld Clan. The Clan civilization is, as of the 3100's, completely split into two separate parts that no longer communicate AT ALL. (The home clans apparently went ultra-orthodox as far as Clan ways and want nothing to do with the tainted Inner Sphere clans.) The inner sphere clans, wolves, falcons, bears, horses, foxes, etc. would not care one whit about a piece of equipment being proscribed by home clans thousands of light years away that they haven't even had contact with for decades.
