This ridiculously expensive monstrosity is said to stalk the surface of Hoffmann planet. Although its existence has been leaked out to the public, and although its blueprints are roaming about the galaxy, nobody knows how Sakata Industries ever managed to gather all of the different parts required and put them together in one mech. Its incredibly fearsome potential for damage has turned many a House Lord away from Hoffmann, although some experts believe that it may be possible to destroy a Type-912 if ample long-range support is available.

Due to its null-signature system, nobody has ever met one face-to-face. It is assumed that anything destroyed by ATMs without seeing them coming was killed by a Type-912.

It is believed that, due to its high cost, only one or two Type-912s exist throughout all of Hoffman. Of course, considering that Sakata Industries had the nerve to make the Type-B and the Type-S systems what they were, rumors have sprung up that their exist huge fortresses loaded full of naval weaponry controlled by gigantic disembodied brains guarded by armies of Type-912s, but these are only rumors.

(You sooooo do not want to get within 15 hexes of this thing. As a matter of fact, you soooooo do not want to see it at all. The hardened armor and reinforced structure allow it to last about 33% longer than most other 100-tonners.)

Lousy good-for-nothing mortals. Can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em.

I could see this as something WoB would field, it has that feel to it...it certainly has the abundant use of Level 3 tech going for it.

Ok. It's very unbelievable that a DC industry can have access to designs with experimental Clan XXL technology, along with a null-signature system, as that tech is extinct in the Inner Sphere.

If it's gonna have a level 4 stealth system, make it a Void sig as there are enough Raptor IIs during the Jihad to reasonably take one out, and reverse-engineer the system. Oh, and it will have to strip out the Clan XXL engine and Clan heat sinks (the weapons I can understand - they are common enough on both Clan fronts, not counting the DC's Nova Cat neighbors).

Otherwise, it might as well be a purely Clan experimental mech, and remove the Inner Sphere components.
