Endo Steel occupies Center Torso space that is needed by the XL Gyro, so you unfortunately need to pick one or the other. You could probably get away with an XL Engine though; it saves 1.5 tons on its own, whereas the Endo Steel and XL Gyro only save 1 ton together.
In other news... even if you upgraded to ER Lasers, you would still be Heat Neutral (4 ER Small Lasers + Running = 10 Heat). In addition, if you selected Compact Heat Sinks instead of Standard Heat Sinks, then you could fit 8 of those heat sinks into your engine instead of just four, and the remaining 2 heat sinks could be packed into a single Critical Slot. Because you only have the 10 Heat Sinks that the engine came with, Compact Heat Sinks would not give you any weight penalty unless you chose to mount more.
Since you would have leftover space, you could add Ferro-Fibrous Armor to the mix.

Endo Steel doesn't need to occupy center torso space, it can be put anywhere on the Mech chassis provided it has enough crit space. See:Agrotera AGT-1A which has both Endo-Steel & an XL Gyro (and some other junk)
