I was planning on using these for some sort of campaign as "boss" units, or high-value strategic targets. Haven't had the opportunity to do so though. Thus, they're loaded out with a ridiculous number of positive quirks and the 'Mech in particular is ludricously costly.

The TFCV is just a wheeled vehicle with IS equipment. Thumper cannon for support, and lightly armed primarily against infantry threats otherwise. They'll probably start out somewhere in a built-up position protected by its company as well as BA and infantry whenever encountered. One is cheaper than an XLE equipped battlemech, so it's not too pricey for its command capabilities.

The TFCT is not reasonably priced and is intended to be a one-off final boss sort of thing. It's tripodal, has mostly Clan equipment, plenty of laser AMS, an augmented C3 Boosted Master to assist its defending company, and the source of the majority of its price issues: A Mobile HPG. It provides heavier artillery support with a Long Tom but only has an ERLL to back up on.

Since I didn't want the final boss to be too easily cheesed up too quickly by LB-X or SRM spam taking it down by sheer # of head hits (which would make for an anti-climatic battle) I added in a custom quirk to make the mech more resilient against them.

There's also the TFCM, which is a more conventional design than the other two, but not as well armored or protected in general.

The PCs would be in charge of at least a Company of 'Mechs or Vehicles each, with mechanized BA when applicable and Aerospace assets (mostly Conventional Fighters). They'd be in charge of destroying the TFCM or TFCV to heavily impact the invading force's command capabilities.

As such, these are more flavor units than anything someone would actually field. (Except maybe the TFCV could see some use as it doesn't break a budget too badly, but YMMV)

Since the Command Tripod doesn't carry any weapons in the left arm/torso, I would suggest giving it a shield as well.

Doable, it'll require downgrading the twin 8-ton Comms EQ to 4-tonners though.

An XXL Engine could make up the difference, and free up one ton extra if my math is correct. Using an expensive, Clan-made XXL Engine on an ultraheavy would mitigate the size penalty somewhat, and wouldn't increase the cost too much.

Sure, but the XXL increased vulnerability (which I don't want on a "boss" unit) and I think I'm a bit lacking in the crits department too

Hmm... I dunno what to suggest for saving weight then.
I already did some math for using a different engine type, but since it is a custom component which was created long before rules for SuperHeavy mechs existed, I'm not sure you would want to use it. I can send you details in a private message.

technically the command unit should not be in fire fights normally, though there are times when the enemy does slip something thru.

Though after a while, you wonder if a shuttle or dropship might not be a better idea. That runs the risk of being shot down, though fighters are a risk to land based units.

The tripod should have a piloting issue with the super heavy head. Just seems to make sense.

Did they break up armor on vehicles? The first unit says wheeled, but has right front, left front, right rear, and left rear internal and armor values. Also not sure if they have a super heavy wheeled unit. Out of date rules.

"Cost: 12,087,586,000 C-bills (Yes, you read that right)"

..how in the world? 12 billion? Is it the multiple HPG's?

And SCREW destroying that, with it being that valuable the thing to do would be to disable it and STEAL IT! A merc group would kit out all its Omni units with fire weapons, taser cannon, TSEMP, emp warheads, etc, bring some elite pro antibattlemech infantry, and try like hell to seize that unit and cart it off.

It's 1 HPG multiplied by the high cost multiplier of a 200-ton mech.

TSEMP doesn't work on units 200 tons and heavier.
