Not sure if here is the place for this, but here it goes.

What ever happened to this concept?
It would allow you to bomb things without risking the fighter, allowing you to destroy these 'indestructible' units that show up from time to time.

Lob bombs onto the unit, without them ever seeing you.
I think it could really be viable with some of the newer technology, like the tag.

I have never actually seen Jump Bombers before. Could you provide an example of one?

It was brought out in the first mccarons armored cavalry adventure pack.
Basically an atmospheric plane that flys along, then pulls up to launch a bomb at a target. The bomb arcs in then air to give it the distance to hit, and the plane not be in any danger of return fire.
Pretty much lofting the payload.

The Boeing Jump Bomber? Well, a new jump bomber called the Saroyan was developed in the late 3000s, a 25-tonner with stealth armor, so the idea's still around.
