Evening from WA,

Most of the time when I follow an example in a book my cost routinely does not match at some point. In Example 2 in FanPro AT2 Revised everything matched until adding the Nose NAC/40 when my cost for a loaded NAC/40 is 19,800,000 C-bills. The cost on p. 80 is 19,728,000 C-bills.

Checking p. 82 the table has the cost of an unloaded NAC/40 as 18,000,000 C-bills with one ton of ammo at 120,000 C-bills.

Removing the NAC/40 cost the ammo cost is: 19,728,000 - 18,000,000 = 1,728,000 C-bills.

Example 2 p. 66 has the mass of a loaded NAC/40 as 4,515 tons. A single NAC/40 per p. 82 is 4,500 tons which indicates that there are 15 tons of ammo x 120,000 should be 1,800,000 C-bills.

I tried without success of finding errata for FanPro AT2 Revised so I do not know if there is anything about the NAC/40 ammo cost.

My calculations indicate that the base cost of the ammo is 115,200 C-bills to have 15 tons of ammo cost 1,728,000 C-bills.

Can anyone please help me figure out what I may have done wrong.

Update:

I may have figured out why my cost for a NAC/40 does not match the cost shown on FanPro 35011 p. 80.

One NAC/40 + 12 rounds has a total cost of 19,728,000 C-bills. One unloaded NAC/40 per p. 82 is 18,000,000 C-bills which makes the cost of 12 NAC/40 rounds is 19,728,000 C-bills - 18,000,000 = 1,728,000 C-bills. The NAC/40 ammo cost per ton is 120,000 which means that the NAC/40 has 1,728,000 / 120,000 = 14.4 tons of ammo not the 15 tons listed. Using the 14.4 tons and 12 rounds the Ammo (tons) value is 14.4 / 12 = 1.2 which is a match for the value in the Capital Weapon table on p. 162.

2 NAC/30 + 50 rounds has a total cost of 24,600,000 C-bills. The cost an unloaded NAC/30 is 10,500,00 with two have a cost of 21,000,000. The cost of 50 NAC/30 rounds = 24,600,000 - 21,000,000 = 3,600,000 C-bills. The NAC/30 ammo cost per ton is 90,000 which means that the NAC/30 has 3,600,000 / 90,000 = 40 tons of ammo matches the 40 tons listed. Using the 40 tons and 50 rounds the Ammo (tons) value is 40 / 50 = 0.8 which is a match for the value in the Capital Weapon table on p. 162.

I checked the other capital weapons used in Example 2 and the only one I failed to match is the NAC/40.

Does anyone know if there is errata for FanPro AT2 and if there is could someone please provide a link.
