Hello all,
Does the cost of fire control increase with the addition of the tonnage when the weapon limit for an arc is exceeded?

Interesting. In AT2 and Strategic Operations, it appears the fire control cost is a one-time, fixed cost.

Thank you for the reply which supports my initial conclusion that the fire control system has a one time fixed cost even though exceeding the weapon limits increases the systems tonnage which is apparently subsumed as part of the weapon bays.
In short the answer appears that the increased tonnage has no extra cost.

Looks more like someone didn't think of this aspect, as the costs should increase as you add in more things like targeting computers and extra servo motors and such to deal with the extra weight and number of weapons. But you can only deal with what is written, so until the next book comes out, you get a break for using more then the normal limit.

I agree that you get a break on cost. Thank you for the reply.
