---- This is a very basic, ten ton Humvee. As an IFV, it's mission is to bring infantry to the battlefield and support them. This particular IFV however, is very lightweight and cheap, but as result only really functions as a heavier form of Mechanized Transport. The Basic 10-Ton Humvee sports a 40-Rated Internal Combustion Engine and one and half tons of Standard-Grade BAR 10 armor, giving it excellent protection against enemy infantry weapons, but extremely limited protection against anything heavier. A one and a half ton Infantry Bay supports a squad of four basic infantry, while a turret-mounted Four-Tubed SRM Launcher provides substantial firepower to support the infantry. The launcher is fed by a single ton of reloads, and is operated by the driver of the vehicle. Although a second station exists within the vehicle for one of the infantrymen to take on the role of Gunner and operate the launcher. This is a very common arrangement. The armor can take a pair of SRMs to the sides and a trio of them to the front and turret, while the turret and frontal armor can withstand a blow from a Medium Laser. The entire vehicle can take multiple hits from Small Lasers and man-portable LRMs.

---- The first of these incredibly light combat vehicles go back all the way to the year 2290, with them becoming far more common from 2320 on. Weighing in at a mere five tons and built by numerous manufacturers on numerous worlds, this ubiquitous vehicle has come to be known as an "Infantry Buggy" Armed with a single vehicle grade Small Laser and bringing four infantry into combat at speeds of up to 129.6 km/h, the "Infantry Buggy" isn't really a 'combat vehicle' per se. Armored with a measly half ton of Standard Grade BAR 10, the buggy does provide it's driver and infantry with potent protection against small arms and anti-infantry weapons, but cannot take more than a few shots from even a Small Laser without compromising it's personnel. Most versions of this buggy utilized the driver to control the gun, and many versions feature head-tracking software to allow the driver to fire the weapon more effectively. Almost every version, however, had a way for the infantry inside to take on the role of the gunner. A 20-Rated Fusion Engine made these a rare sight as the Succession Wars dragged on, however many were simply relegated to Special Forces of numerous Houses, the Capellan Confederation in particular favored them.

---- The original 2290 version of this vehicle used a Prototype Small Laser and had a half ton of Primitive Grade Armor. There was an earlier, more primitive 2095 version that had no Small Laser, but instead mounted a ton of Primitive Armor like the later 2290 version. This was still considered excellent protection with respect to the vehicles speed and utility. This primitive version still has an armored Turret that provides the infantry with a place to rest their heavier support weapons as well as fight with them from it. Some versions of this vehicle remove the Infantry Bay for an additional ton of armor and a dedicated Gunner. These were often referred to as the 'Armored Car' variants and were often used as reconnaissance vehicles. As the Succession Wars dragged on, many of the Great Houses would cannibalize these vehicles for their Fusion Engines, leading to a variant not unlike the 'Armored Car' variants. The main difference would be the replacement of the 20-Rated Fusion Engine with an identically rated Internal Combustion Engine, the use of a ton of Primitive Armor in lieu of the more difficult to produce BattleMech armor, and the replacement of the Small Laser with a Machine Gun fed by a half-ton belt of ammo. Otherwise it is identical to the 'Armored Car' variant in dropping the infantry bay.

---- This design was inspired by the Navy SEALS DPV. It is quite a bit faster, and actually sports armor. Since the BattleTech Universe is essentially an alternate history, I figured this vehicle would be the next evolution when Fusion Engines, BattleMech Grade Armor and Laser Weapons had arrived on the scene. Of all three vehicles I've posted here, this one is the one I'm most proud of simply because of it's fluff. I imagine this vehicle would see little to no use in the Classic TableTop, but would be very relevant to the MechWarrior RPG, a scary sight for a Player Character on foot.

EDIT: Minor spelling Correction to ELRM Carrier Fluff. Fixed the costs for the "Infantry Buggy" Variants.

NOTE: BVs for "Infantry Buggy" variants other than the Standard one are incorrect. I don't know the formula, so I can't fix them since neither MegaMekLab nor HMVee will allow for Primitive Armor on Vehicles for some reason.

The ELRM sounds like a hunter that swaps the normal missile launcher for the ER version. Not a bad thing, but not sure if you were aware of it.

The 10 ton humvee might be good an alternate that has an LRM pack on it.
Another suggestion. Use a wheeled chasis for a Humvee.

ICE versions might be a thing as well. More likely to be used by garrison units, and still get the job done. Granted, that means no Small laser, but then it isn't really that big of a deal. The mg is more effective against infantry, which is what they should be facing. The srm 4 is a nice punch and range over the others.
