It's in the title. It's just an MRM that weighs on more ton than a non-Streak MRM and takes special Streak Ammo, which is twice as expensive. Otherwise it is identical to other Streak Missiles.

What do you guys think?

It sounds like an interesting idea. You may have to tweak it a little bit. I don't know if one ton more than a regular MRM is enough to offset the balance of not wasting ammo. I am guessing you will remove the +1 to hit as well? If it is using a lock, I don't see why it would be harder to hit with.

Funny idea came up if you want to nerf it some.
On a natural roll of 2, it not only doesn't lock on the target, but fires, wasting ammo and building heat, but could hit any target in the firing arc, except the original target.

As a side note, the IS streaks were 1.5 times the weight of the normal launchers, so that might help guide you some.

Actually, at 1.5x the weight of standard MRMs, that would be balance aplenty. The MRM Apollo FCS negates the to-hit penalty at a flat cost 1 Ton, 1 Crit per MRM Launcher REGARDLESS of said launchers weight. Already you'll see a savings of .5 tons for an MRM 10 w/ MRM Apollo FCS, while bigger MRM Launchers will rise sharply in tonnage required for a Streak Version as opposed to an MRM Apollo FCS. While the MRM Apollo FCS will always add an extra crit per launcher, meaning that Streak MRM 10s will be better for units with spare tonnage and fewer crits whilst standard MRM 10s with MRM Apollo FCS will be better for units with less spare tonnage, but a surplus of crits. That would then relegate standard MRM Launchers to the niche of a missile system halfway between and LRM and an SRM, but way more cost effective and better for a pilot with high gunnery.
