- A 2750-Era design; the Aethersprite is an AA 'Mech meant to compete with the Rifleman. Mounting a pair of Class-2 Autocannons and a set of five tube Long-Range Missile Launchers, the Aethersprite is reasonably well equipped for it's role. Six tons of Communications Equipment makes the Aethersprite a serviceable adjutant for Command Lances, while it's long-range, deep magazines and adequate backup weaponry in the form of a trio of Medium Lasers means it makes for a serviceable Fire-Support 'Mech in it's own right.

- Slabbed in ten tons of armor, which was considered excessive for it's role as an Anti-Air 'Mech and powered by a measly 180-Rated Fusion Engine to cut down on costs, the Aethersprite is a slow, but hardy 'Mech. With a price tag coming in at just under 4 million C-Bills, it also became a favorite of Mercenary and Garrison Commanders; particularly those who desired to lead from the rear. Eleven Single Heat Sinks gave the Aethersprite a manageable heat curve, while the allocation of two of these Heat Sinks to the legs ensured better Heat Dissipation in shallow water.

- A Clan-Tech version of this AA 'Mech, unlike the Rifleman IIC; the Aethersprite IIC is a far more modest refit with far less combat potential than it's rival. A quartet of Artemis IV enhanced Clan-Tech LRM-5s are seated alongside four Class-2 LB-X Autocannons, letting the Aethersprite IIC swat enemy aerospace fighters out of the sky like nobodies business. It's delicate fire control systems are protected by an ECM Suite, while it's trio of Medium Lasers are upgraded to Clan-spec ER versions and supplemented by a pair of Flamers for defense against infantry.

- A Clan-Tech 225-Rated Standard Fusion Engine seated inside of a lightweight Endo-Steel Chassis and slabbed in eleven tons of Clan spec Standard-Grade BattleMech Armor, the Aethersprite IIC is design-wise very similar to her 60-Ton cousin. As such, she's cheap (even by Inner Sphere standards), well-armored (for her role), and slow (especially by Clan standards with a Timber Wolf hitting up to 86.4 km/h). However, her thirteen Clan-Tech Double Strength Heat Sinks struggle to cope with her improved array of weaponry if the pilot acts too aggressively, moreso even than her Spheroid counter-part.

- This design is favored by Clan Snow Raven, Clan Hell's Horses and Clan Diamond Shark; although Clan Jade Falcon, Clan Wolf and Clan Ghost Bear maintain not insignificant stocks for Garrison Duty, often assigning them to Freebirths. Clan Smoke Jaguar, among others, have great disdain for the design and outright refuse to field it; with the general consensus of the design being that it is seen as "weak". None have ever challenged it's abilities against Aeropsace assets however, and none ever would given it's fearsome array of LB-X Autocannons and highly accurate LRMs.

- During the heat of the Clan Invasion there were many losses, and powers all the way from the humble Periphery to the Great Houses themselves were seeking assets to replenish their forces. During the tail end of the Invasion, the wrecks of salvaged Aethersprite IICs were used to create the Aethersprite IIS, an Inner Sphere model which used LosTech components to stay on top of Clan 'Mechs and Aerospace Assets alike. Boasting a Targeting Computer for it's ER Large Laser and twin Class-2 Ultra Autocannons, as well as a pair of Artemis-enhanced LRM-5s protected by a Guardian ECM Suite; the Aerthersprite IIS is deceptively well armed.

- A 225-Rated Fusion Engine keeps it within a sane price tag, clocking in at somewhere under 8 million C-Bills, while eleven tons of Standard Grade Battlemech Armor work in concert with a set of CASE-equipped magazines to maximize the protection of the 'Mech and it's volatile payload. A TAG unit rounds out the menagerie of gear, offering the IIS a secondary role as a spotter for Arrow IV artillery strikes as well as Semi-Guided LRMs. The IIS model remained a popular AA 'Mech in the Great Houses well into the Civil War and throughout the Jihad on account of it's excellent performance against all things that flew. It was a decent long-range Fire-Support 'Mech and a great anti-vehicle 'Mech when used on the defensive.

- Introduced at the start of the Jihad, the Aethersprite III would become something of a black sheep in the line, using a pair of low-tech standard Class-2 Autocannons and being built on a more expensive Endo-Steel Chassis. The machine also lacks the TAG of it's Clan Invasion-era predecessor, mounting instead a C3 Slave Unit. Likewise, the Aethersprite III lacks the CASE system of it's forerunner, and sports a half ton less of armor, coming in at ten and a half tons in total.

- The III model still mounts a Targeting Computer, however; and it is powered by a 180 Fusion engine. Yes, that's right, it's not a 75-ton 'Mech, but a 60-Tonner like the 2750-era 'Mech that started the line. As such, it's almost 2 Million C-Bills cheaper than a IIS, and was a common sight in C3 Lances across the Inner Sphere for AA Support and Long-Range Fire Support. The Aethersprite III was also favored by well off Mercs who wanted a versatile AA 'Mech that could fill multiple roles. Another popular use was as support for an Ambush with C3 equipped 'Mechs.

- A mid-Jihad era variant, the Aethersprite X mounts eleven tons of Stealth Armor. Among numerous other changes, the X model utilizes a weight saving Composite Structure, as well as a Small Cockpit. It is powered by a 225-Rated Compact Fusion Engine, and makes use of Compact Gyro, while CASE II equipment further protects the frail internals. A set of Class-2 LB-X Autocannons and a pair of LRM-5s enhanced with Artemis IV FCS provide the principal firepower of the 'Mech, while a pair of ER Small Lasers, ER Medium Lasers and a TAG unit round out it's secondary complement. Thirteen Double Heat Sinks are stretched to their limits by the unit's Stealth Armor, forcing a Mechwarrior to engage with discretion.

- A Dark Age Mixed-Tech version of the Aethersprite X, the Aethersprite Y is a 60-ton version with a greater focus on ECCW than the X model. Using a pair of Inner Sphere Class 2 Ultra Autocannons, as well as Inner Sphere model LRM-5s with Artemis IV FCS; the unit utilizes an expensive Clan-Tech Extralight Fusion Engine, as well as Clan-Tech ER Medium Lasers to simply the power connections. Likewise, thirteen Clan-Tech Double Strength Heat Sinks were used to avoid compatibility issues with the cooling system. - A Beagle Active Probe and Guardian ECM Suite, both Spheroid models, provide the ECCW aspect of the Y model. An adept AA 'Mech as always, the Y model is nevertheless frighteningly effective at ambushes, and provides excellent long-range fire support. A perfect 'Mech for conducting defensive operations, the three ER Medium Lasers provided great firepower for a 60-ton 'Mech on their own, while the Ultra Autocannons and LRMs make the Aethersprite Y a formidable foe when firing from a fixed (and hopefully fortified) position. Slow speed remains a problem for this 'Mech.

nitpick: first two units time says 2750. Guess it is supposed to be 3075. Time line for some of the others is off as well, as variants are made before the primary if the 2750 isn't right.

They all seem like solid designs.
I am surprised you didn't 'use' the rifleman's tracking system. Want to say the jarret, but don't have my book handy.
Would suggest swapping the er's for pulse if you can. Better to hit in game as well as actual playing.
The ultras would be good against land targets, but the lbx cluster shot is best against aircraft.

If not worried about the costs, hardened armor might be a good thing. Unless they changed the strafe damage areas, strafing fighters hit the head much better then normal. Also, you don't want some random crit to take out the mech while trying to deal with the aircraft.

Might be a good thing to make an c3 master one, and package a lance using the c3 system. Maybe 75 tonner having same weapons as the 60's with the c3 in it. Make it hard to distinguish from the others.
