--- This is just a for fun custom one off based on the Awesome, an iconic BattleMech. The IIC version is simply a mixed tech version with Clan-spec XL engine, double heat sinks and Ferro-Fibrous armor, while the original was meant to be a proper Inner Sphere custom design, albeit a one-off.
--- The "Amazing" was commissioned by a wealthy MechWarrior to be better than the venerable Awesome in every way. Her architect succeeded, and gave her a fitting name, dubbing her the Amazing for amazing it was that such an awesome design could be made yet more awesome. A trio of Heavy PPCs give the Amazing firepower which is one and a half times greater than her progenitor, while a Radical Heat Sink System allowed her to fire all three of them at once... albeit only every other volley or so as the pilot needed to take care not to overtax the system. A battlefist and a single ER Medium Laser round out this full upgrade, while a reinforced structure, light ferro-fibrous and light fusion engine gave it the same speed, but greater durability than the Awesome which inspired it.
--- After the death of that wealthy MechWarrior and the destruction of the first Amazing, that MechWarrior's descendant had the very same architect devise a version of it that would surpass the original; and succeed they did, rather unoriginally dubbing it the Amazing IIC on the grounds that simply no more of an amazing word could be found for such a feat. Indeed the IIC variant mounted Clan-Spec Armor, Engines and Heat Sinks while the single ER Medium Laser would also be replaced by a Clan-Spec version of itself. The battlefist is retained with a far more intimidating profile on account of the armor allocation. A Heavy-Duty Gyro adds yet more to the durability, while a standard cockpit improves upon the cramped Small Cockpit found on the original. The trio of Heavy PPCs are sinked by twenty double heat sinks, with two mounted in the legs to allow near continuous fire when in water. The Radical Heat Sink System allows the heat-free fire of all weapons for brief bursts; a significant improvement considering the clan-tech laser mounted in the head. Meanwhile a battlemech supercharger allows for brief spurts of additional speed.
Designer's Addendum:

--- The Amazing was designed with "realism", and I use that word loosely, in mind. I sat down to think about what a custom 100-Ton BattleMech designed off of the Awesome would look like, and how it would all fit together. Likewise, the IIC version is a spin-off; it doesn't mount Clan-Tech ER PPCs in place of the Heavy PPCs because they are very different weapons-systems, while the Clan-Tech ER Medium Laser is more or less just an Inner Sphere Large Laser that went on a diet and combined it with a killer exercise plan, so mating it to an Inner Sphere Target Tracking Suite would be much simpler than Clan-Tech ER PPCs vs Heavy PPCs.
--- Likewise in terms of balance and critical spaces, the ER Medium Laser is one ton, one crit regardless of tech, while the Inner Sphere PPC, ER PCC and Heavy PPC are 3 crits per system versus the Clan-Tech ER PPCs two per system. The Amazing IIC is a re-design of the Amazing, possibly built off of the smoking wreck of the original, although that is up to you the reader to decide. So, yeah, both designs were made with an eye towards the, "how does all this fit together?", indeed most of my designs are like this. I cannot even begin to describe the agony of "ammo does this ammo feed" that... is true horror.
