I have a couple tries, most notably Lyran variants with
the Light Engine. Actually, the Warhammer I upgraded
is the only one really representable. A Light Engine, 13
tons of armor (the legs! the legs!) and 21 DHS. The load-out
became 2 ER PPCs, 2 ER Medium Lasers, 2 Medium Pulse
Lasers and a Flamer. Nasty. MedPulses in the side torsos,
bot ER Meds in the CT and the Flamer in the head.
Advice for Evil Overlords:
My legions of terror will be trained in basic marksmanship. Any who cannot learn to hit a man-sized target at 10 meters will be used for target practice.

Interesting you drop the MGs and SRM6. I take it the pulses are there for close in work? Why the Flamer?

To kill infantry with. The Steiners bolt on flamers to
anything that moves, so my Whammer must have one :)

That's not really true.

No. It means "Steiners, like everyone else, pretty much only put flamers on special-purpose incendiary 'Mechs."
The 3025 Hot Hammer (that is, the one with the flamers,) is (for instance,) not a Steiner variant, but a Liao version.
I don't know where you got the idea that we elsies are big on flamers...just 'cause we like the Firestarter...

actually I had been awake by about 95 seconds and found it kinda funny. But I actually agree with you... there really are not that many mech's with flamers...

Yes, the Hot Hammer is a Liao variant.
I had just taken a look at the Steiner Thunderbolt and found it odd they`d put a flamer on it. Since the Thunderbolt is the definition of "Mech" to me, it means House Steiner puts flamers on everything

Then they must also put PPCs and SRM6s on everything.
Um. No.
