Okay I just finished the game today. And I found it to be an easy fight.
The ability to gang bang the computers mechs and vehicles made the game to simple to finish at least for me.
It is a much better graphic and game flow to it then MC had and it is a look cleaner looking.
I did notice they had no mechs smaller then 25 tons and this to me seemed to be a draw back, a small one but one none the less.
Over all it gave a good day's worth of entertainment so it was well worth the $20 I spent on it.

Personally, I have to disagree with this review.
MC2's graphics were extremely...cartoonish. It had a lot of bad gameplay decisions, an utterly transparent plot, etc.
It might have provided a few days' entertainment, but not even NEAR the quality one can get by just turning on free-air television.

Great, got an idea for you...go do better. How about sit down and do up a better game your self.
This version of MC was a hell of lot better then the first one. So that in it's self is something to be greatful for.

Sure, once I have a few million dollars so I can
1) Buy the license
2) Recruit the team of programmers and artists that would be necessary for such a product.
Then it'll be a piece of cake. MC2 hardly sets a high standard to beat.

I have to agree with Bob to a point.
I prefered the gameplay of the original. Graphicwise, I wasn't too impressed (though there were som things from both I liked). the storyline seemed better in the first one as well.
I also found the original's AI superior to that in the sequel.
However, even the sequel is better then MW4... (I admit to breaking down and finaly playing MW4... and being BORED by it...)
Real mechwariors pilot IS mechs.
