I spent the last week learning to lead a fire team (a "link" as the IDF calls it) during combat and after passing two live-fire tests and a written exam I was given a surprise bonus by my company CO. Yep, instead of spending the weekend on the base together with my company and guarding the compound, I was given a weekend pass..... because I scored the highest on my tests !
I'm quite happy
