Double the cost of a 3025 LCT-1E, but in it's turf it could probably kill three such without internal damage.

Eh?

What's this hideous slow thing someone's trying to pass off as a Locust?

I still say endo would be better than an XL. Let's you afford more of these adorable little buggers. (Get it? Locust? Bugger? Sorry.)

LCT-5F Locust

Remove the last DHS (RA). Replace each small laser with an ER medium laser.

BV: 663

The total heat is 27, but can be forgoten if the stealth armor is turned off.

LCT-6F Locust

Remove DHS in RA and add endo-steel. Replace lasers with 2 ER medium lasers (RA & LA) and a medium pulse laser (H).

Endo-S: 4 RA, 4 LA, 4 LT, 2 RT

The heat is 26, but is lost if armor is off.

So, what do you think?

Didn't they do a variant like this in Project Phoniex?

locust.. ew. then again i remeber a friend using those things in swarm tactics.. yes a swarm of locusts. ha hah. still as its been said, "these mechs are cheap" so you can field in numbers what it may lack in other areas against heavier units.

I guess so. I'd think a VTOL would be better for recon, light mechs are expensive and just as easy to blow up. This thing is not really exceptionally fast, its really easy to kill, and doesn't have enough weapons to seriously threaten an old Galleon tank, let alone anything priced beyond 2 million dollars.
Maybe I'am missing the point, but theres alot of cheap 20 ton anythings that could out perform it in all areas.

well its fast, has stealth armor a all energy weapon config, and a ecm. means it can zip in, undetected to areas and use its limited armamanet effectively without worrying about running out of ammo middle of the fight. Its also a 'classic' mech one of the well known old ones, so people like to work with old configs and update them that kind of thing.
Greetings Mechwarrior.

I do like it, but Personally, I think its lacking something... The Benefits of the Stealth System are Really utilised when you don't HAVE to get Close to the Enemy...

Here's my own version, in the same sort of Mould... Keeping the Tri-Weapons Configuration that is to be expected of a Proper Locust. Unfortunately, its not as Fun on the Heat Scale... And Generally, the 'Mech itself would be much scarier with a Clan-Tech ER-PPC in its Guts - but thats REALLY pushing the Heat Envelope... This one almost has a 1-1-0 firing Pattern as it is.

And its Line speed is still fine... Under the Old Rules, this was really the fastest you should bother making a 'mech go, unless you were willing to go all Spider on your Enemy...
