I voted "no."
Reason: Specialty ammo breathes new life into standard ACs. I *would* like to see specialty ammo be used in LACs, but not LBXs, RACs, and UACs.

Personally I think the LACs should be level 2 tech...but that's me...

I agree. LACs would be harmless as L2 items.

Heck, ACs in general are nearly harmless in L2 anyway.

They would go from "Nearly Harmless" to "Mostly Harmless" (a very good category, IMO!) with access to plain-vanilla AC ammo.
