==Overview:==
The Grundor can be called a cheap knock off of the Dicator mech. The Grundor came about when RMI failed to get a licenese to make the Dicator in Lyran space.

Needing a mech to compete withe Dicator, RMI went the route that was popular in 20th Century China on Terra. They copied the Dicator and made a few changes.

Thus was born the Grundor.

==Capabilities:==
Boasting similar firepower as the Dicator the Grundor is fifteen tons ligher and about 600 thousand C-bills cheaper.

The firepower is amazing with three long range weapons and massive medium and short range firepower.

The twin Gauss Rifles and the LRM give the Grundor reach and hitting power and it's close in weaponary, a mix of ER Meduims and single Pulse lasers complmenting a Streak 6 are more then enough to keep the enemy off of the Grundor.

==Battle History:==
The Grundor's battles have been mostly centered around the recent battles against Victor's forces.

==Variants:==
Under going testing is all engery version of the Grundor that strips out the Gauss Rifles for PPCs.

==Deployment==
Found in all loyal Katherine units and in most of the heavy mech units of the LAAF.

From a designer's standpoint, I'm not a big fan of twinned GRs without ERLLs or ERPPCs to round out the heat balance, but from a pilot's standpoint, the punch on those puppies is awesome. A clanner would obviously trade one for an ERPPC since they do the same damage, but with IS tech...

What's the cost/availability comparison between ERPPCs and GRs? Would that make this more viable than a GR/PPC combo?

Not sure, I haven't looked at that setup yet. I will run some numbers and see what I get.

I do see your point, mostly from the point of view that if you lose the Gauss you have the PPC or Laser as back up.
