What are your guys' favorite stock mechs to use? I am asking for each of the weight classes, IS and Clan. Just a little curiousity inspired by the recent poll. Thanks.

Well, I don't play Clan, so I have no opinion there. Actually, when I use stocks, I almost invariably stick to 3025, so that's the only time I actually have "favourites"
Let's see...my faves as of 3025...
Light: Jenner
Medium: Phoenix Hawk
Heavy: Thunderbolt
Assault: Stalker

I don't play much clan unless it's against them so:
Light: Jenner, Locust
Medium: Phawk or Griffin
Heavy: Marauder, Warhammer, Archer, or Axman
Assault: Battlemaster, Stalker or maybe an Atlas
I don't really have *a* favorite mech, either overall of from a particular weight class.

Don't mind the Oscout. The others are still not as bad as, say, the Viper (aka the Popeye-arm, chicken-legged, 100 ton airplane)

I really like the Highlander, Wolverine, Marauder, Archer, and Shadow Hawk for Inner Sphere forces. When I play Clan, I like Timber Wolves and Cauldon-Born.
For the Inner Sphere choices, they are just the 'Mechs that have proven reliable for me. I liked the Higlander because of its name. Immortal unless the head gets ripped off, eh?
For the Clan choices, I just like the look of the two 'Mechs. They just seem lethal.

Thunderbolt, Warhammer-D (and R, really), and Jav-F. Personal fave being perhaps the Jav-F, as its minimaxed *just* the way I like it...

very hard to narrow it down to 1 mech (per level) in each weight class.... I'll do my best.
Level 1: Light - Mercury. Runners up Wolfhound, Panther. Medium - Vindicator. Runners up Phoenix Hawk, Shadow Hawk 2k. Heavy - Warhammer 6k. Runners up Grand Dragon, Thunderbolt 5SS. Assult - Zeus (PPC version). Runner up : Awsome, Stalker.
Level 2 Light - Wolfhound Medium - undecided Heavy - Bandersnatch, runner up Toyama Assult - undecided.
Clan - none. I hate them all.
