Why are they calling that thing the Spider? It looks nothing like the Spider we all know and are irritated at because it can jump so far.
Although those claw thingees on the arms look cool.

Yeah. When I read Karagin's thing, I thought the picture was going to be of a blue-and-red Spider 'Mech. But..what the hell was that thing? It looked more like a Phoenix Hawk of LAM than a Spider...

I kinda like how it looks. Take off the wings, and it's a nice looking 'Mech. I'm still not buying it, 'cause there's no way to know if it's in the package, and even if it's the one I get, it's the wrong scale. Just hope FanPro makes a lead mini of it.
And re-names it. It is not a spider.

I thought this design was funny as H***. The first thing I noticed was the way WK tried to rip-off Gundam Wing. For those that do not know, those "Claws" on the arms are a total rip-off of the Altron's dragon fangs.
I could not stop laughing when I saw those.

The SDR-5V is the original Spider if they want to change the spider we look at, at least they should use a version that does not exist for our books (not only doesn't it look the same but they added claws on it?). Like some others have said it looks awfully like some other game like Heavy Gear rather than the smoother lines of the Battletech miniature we had grown to love. This combined with the 'it sounds like a Saladin, it moves like a Saladin, its armed like a Saladin ... struth it is a Saladin' SM1 that looks like someone is doing the 'finger' to you with those cockpits on either side of the main gun. They seriously can't believe that during the years of peace they removed the Saladin and added that star wars reject unit?
