We've already had a thread(s) that went into lance/company selections for the IS but what about Clan stars/etc? Pick any clan, any era. From the original 12 to the current mass of clan mechs. Frontline, second line, PGC.

And if you hate the clans post counter lances/companies from the IS to deal with these evil invaders.

Did not win too much with that Star, but in a big melee battle it was always fun to be plinking the crap outta those big guys whilst being hard to hit.

Well, I haven't had a chance to play Clan stars as much as I would like, but this star turned out to be incredibly effective for me:

Warhawk Prime
Stormcrow Prime
Timber Wolf Prime
Firemoth Prime
Ryoken D

I used my Firemoth as a spotter until a lucky long-range pulse laser shot ripped off a leg, then the Ryoken Prime took over as I picked my opponent apart with indirect LRM fire. I managed to splash a Kit Fox and tear into an opposing Warhawk before they cleared the hill behind which I was hiding. After that, it became a real knock-down, drag-out brawl, but I managed to come away with 3 Mechs in the end, partially due to HORRIBLE luck on my opponent's part. But the LRMs did their damage early on and undoubtedly helped me win the attrition.

Howabout 5 RD-1 RoadRunners.

They really don't do that much damage, But you cant hit them.

Thunder Ammo for my LRM launchers... Arrow Iv launchers with standard ammo or put my pilots on opportunity fire so that I fire when I want to and remove the items from existence quickly and painlessly.
