Is this the most ugly vehicle in the battletech universe?
Well there are those appalling Clan vehicles which this seems in the same vein of. Hmmmm gone are the nice lines of the Pegasus or the square J Edgar eh?

I've been getting my info before you by just looking up www.battletech.net. No need to be spammed by all that unnecessary advertising of the WK site or my aversion to the CBT site

Okay cool...I got the actually site... JES II SMC
And the darn thing looks like a WW2 German halftrack with missile on it...or more akin to something I would expect to see in Warhammer 40K not anything related to BT...oh well another reason NOT to buy the new toys.

Odds are it get's tracked...but hey it wouldn't suprise me if it got a special bonus for being a half track like vehicle...funny thing is as a military unit, well as far as real life goes, the half track was a middle of the road vehicle...more of a prime mover then anything else and it really set the stage for APCs to come into being...but don't want to muddy the water with facts and such...

Hover.
And what numbskull decided to mount 6 LRM20's on the thing? How much ammo would it be able to carry? And who would use this unit if you had to spend a large amount of your force just to protect it? You may as well as try to recreate one of Hitler's super guns that drained away entire battlalions from the real fight.

its not the idea of having such firepower on the one unit but rather the physical placement of the weapons (weight on the wheels rather than the track and so on). Also the back blast would affect the tracks/engine compartment the way it is designed. Most rocket/missile launcher designs don't do this and having served in an Armoured unit myself I would hate to bash track* everytime I fired the main gun.
*Bash Track is a common armoured term for putting new sections of track links in the track to replace older damaged ones (in this case because rubber pads were damaged or the bushes that hold the track pins in with are perished).
This would be the same concept vehicle type as having a sphere-shaped combat submarine rather than cylinder-shaped one ... poor design.

Indeed only things like the Ancient Bombard (i.e. Ishtar) come close.

I did...and the fluff gives it more...so once again we have fluff and figure not matching...that is nothing but kind surprising given all the "prefection" MWDA is suppose to have over BT...
