Nice workhorse cargo ship, though if you spent some cargo tonnage on armor, I wouldn't complain.

This one is not intented for combat...but I am sure that there a few versions out there whose crew have added on more armor.

Fair 'nuff, but note every canon civie dropship in BT has added armor.

I am not say that can't be done here...just that I don't see this ship actively being used in a combat zone...BUT it might happen and I am sure that the crew will be bolting on as much armor as they can...:D
How much more is a good number to go with?

10, 20 tons. Something token to handle bad landings or dockings with space stations, bad atmospheric entries, etc. Something cheap like this is ideal for the Periphery and thus pirates, too.

Again, you could probably get by with 3/5--you still don't have to Overthrust to take off, and since you'll spend most of your time at Thrust 2 (1G), for crew reasons, you won't really notice the difference. Perhaps a ton or so of "magic armor" to keep out the meteors, space dust, etc. Other than that...another solid civvie design.
