Did you look at anything BUT the weapons? Perhaps you should look at the fighters and the fact that it's a CARRIER not a BATTLESHIP, thus the need for heavy naval weapons is a lot less...given that a fleet would be center around this vessel thus it has protection from other vessels and again may I point you to the number of fighthers it carries...those alone are more then enough to keep other ships at bay...

And it will be some time before you finally launch ALL of the fighters, that would make for a very long game unless you can get an agreement that some or all of the fighters are already in sky.

It would make sense that a carrier would have CAP in the space around the ship as well a patrols out...so launching everything would be time consumming but not impossible...

It should be under the constructions rules...even if it's not there, though Chris assured us it is...we are stuck with it since he told Rick that there can be only 8 doors to launch fighters out of...

So as I informed Hulbut....write Chris a PM from here or email mail him or Randal and explain to them why you don''t like the idea etc...

Where are you going to find 5,000 aerospace fighters to put onto this thing? You would be lucky to find one percent of that number.

One percent of 5000 is 50, which isn't a difficult number of fighters to muster. The Leviathan II has 300 fighters.

Just because a warship can carry fighters that does not mean that they are available to be stationed on the warship.

Now how can someone build dozens of ships that have the mass of a million or more tons and cant crank out millions of aerospace fighters is beyond me. I would love to know how some planets have populations of up to a billion or even more and only thousands of battlemechs or aerospace fighters can be built a year throwout an entire empire. The Clans are organized to be the ultimate war society and even they cant crank out more than a few thousand battlemechs each.
