It's my understanding that the Keiths disassociated themselves and BattleTechnology after a beef with FASA. Anyone know (or hear any rumors) about what happened?

I'm in the mood for some juicy gossip

FALSE: FASA no longer owns BattleTech, its owned by WizKids and called Mechwarrior Dark Age. Its completely a rumor. Now as for Keith and WizKids I don't have a clue.

This happened like ten years ago. Back when Fasa still had BattleTech.

Hasn't Keith written a novel for BT in the past few years?

2 or 3, all GDL novels, weren't they? Operation:Excalibur was one of them, I think.

The GDL trilogy and:
Tactics of Duty 1995 (Roc)
Operation Excalibur 1996 (Roc)

So, he's published in the last decade for BT.

After what they did to the game, not to mention his Gray Death Legion, who could blame him?

Many authors had trouble with FASA/Roc because of page limitations, lateness (or complete lack of) pay, etc etc etc. I remember Michael Stackpole wrote an essay about it, which is probably still available on his website.
Yea, verily. Let it be known far and wide that Nightward loathes MW: DA. Indeed, it is with the BURNING ANIMUS OF A THOUSAND SUNS that he doth rage against it with.

I thought so. Did he also write the novel in which the GDL gets the axe? (forgot the title for that one)

No. Tom Gressman wrote that one.

Hmm, Gressman has become BT's hatchetman, hasn't he? Anyway, thanks for the clarification, Bob.
