Tim "The Ogre" Watson Classic Battletech Memorial Benefit Series
-presented by the S7 Coalition

On November 6, 2002, Tim "The Ogre" Watson succumbed to side affects of chemotherapy to treat colon cancer.

Tim’s passion was BattleTech: the game, the miniatures, and his countless friends in the BattleTech community.

His family and friends are sponsoring a series of BattleTech games in his memory, with the ticket sales proceeds going to a trust fund for his ten-year-old daughter, Hilary.

In addition to individual event winners, there will be an overall Series Champion decided by points gained from each event, along with an overall 2nd and 3rd place award.

Limited-Edition Memorial Series with custom art (front and back) will be included with each unique registrar (one per person, not per event enrolled in). In addition, these Ogre Memorial Series 2003 t-shirts will also be available for purchase at the convention, with all proceeds going to the Hilary Watson trust fund.

It is our intention to do some videotaping at the events, especially for the "customs" events, which each participant will get the opportunity to talk about their design, miniature, painting style. We also hope to include battle footage as well. All video info will later be posted on the web for everyone to see.

2003 Gen Con Indy Series Champion Awards

The individual who amasses the most Series Points will be declared the Series Champion of Gen Con Indy 2003, and as part of this award will receive the following:

* An ArmorCast Mad Cat/Timberwolf model (valued at $150)
* Choice of 1 of the three arenas/landscapes used in the Memorial series (valued at $150+)
* Plus other goodies

The individual who amasses the 2nd-most amount of points will get their choice of one of the two remaining battlefields (plus some other goodies), and the 3rd-place finisher will receive the last battlefield (plus some other goodies).

In all cases, more information can be found at: http://www.dcrc.net . Below are the four event listings and descriptions. Any questions can be directed towards me at mfischer@asandt.com. If you participate in any CBT events at GenCon Indy this year, make it the Memorial Series and donate towards a good cause. We guarantee you won't be disappointed!
