Overview :
Built in the 26th century to defend merchant fleets from pirates and predecation from the other realms surrounding the Republic. The Barricuda is well suited to go against the light pirate vessels of its day.
Capabilities :
Designed to engage the light vessels of pirates. The Barricuda is not designed to go toe to toe with other capital vessels, her armor and weapons are too light.
Deployment :
40 vessles were constructed during the production run and only 14 were left when the Raven class frigate began construction. 26 were destroyed during the 100+ yrs of its construction by pirate and privateers. Of the 14 ships left 7 stayed in the Republic to guard the Star's End facility and Apollo against Star League aggression, only 3 would survive, two guarding the facility and one captured over Apollo after its crew surrendered. The other 7 would gather over Terra and guard the planet until the Star League crushed the Caspers and few Republic vessels there. 3 would surrender after the overwhelming number of warships closed on Terra. The 4 captured Barricudas left with the Star League and were mothballed with the Swiftling Class, the Blood Spirits claimed the Barricuda's but was unwilling to activate them due to their history, but recent reversal of fortune has forced the Spirits to reevaluate the usefulness of the ships. Negotiations are going on with Snow Ravens to provide services for the upgrades for the 4 ships.

Grrrrreat! To see some life here!
A surprisingly reasonable amount of cargo. 
However, I really, really question the use of NAC/10s. Even pairs of NL/55s would work better (and from your use of LLs, I hope that the NLs aren't past the tech level).
