==Overview:==
Seeing the need for a low cost transport, The Storm Haven Protectorate
commissioned the help of both its Merchant Marine and Stratigic and Tactical
Supply Force, they were tasked with designing a Jumpship that would become the
standard transport for both forces, the first problem addressed was the
decision to arm the Jumpship, many thought the arming of a jumpship was
wastefull, but after many days of research, it was proved that armed Jumpships
while more of a target was also less likely to be captured as was the cause of
unarmed ships, and with that the decision was made, also included in this
design process was the inclusion of 4 Aerospace fighters to provide extra
protection, this of course made the Merchant Marine happy, because escorts
ships and fighters was always not there when you needed them most. Also on
board is a contigent of Battle Armor to repel boarders or in rare cases board
enemy vessels themselves.

==Capabilities:==
The Matilda class is both heavly armed and armored for a Jumpship, carring a
combination of PPC's, and Gausss Rifles as its main firepower, for closs in
defence the ship relys on the ever usefull Small Pulse Laser as both a Anti-
Missile/Fighter weapon, supplementing the main weapons is a series of LRM-20
launchers tied into Artemis FCS for greater accuracy. The defence armor of the
Matalda is impressive for a Jumpship capable of weathering the blast of a
NAC/20 before losing its armor in said section. aganst normal pirates, this
amounts to extreme armor.

==Deployment==
At present the Matilda is deployed across most of the north west
portion of the Periphericy and and the Lyran Commonqwealth and Free Worlds
League with some only now being seen in the Draconis Combine and Federated
Suns. At this present time the Matilda has not been sold to any buyers in the
Inner Sphere, and has remained the exclusive design of the Storm Haven
Protectorate.
