Click on the empire page....click on that person....click on the "arena" that appears on the far right of that person.

The peep in the arena must one of your 12 Selected people. The character in the arena will have 'arena' lsited as their location. Select that characters name making them the active player, then select the hyperlink 'arena' name in the location column.

If your arena wasn'T attacked, you can go to Arena page and cancel the arena. If it was attacked, it is possible that you can not see the enemy and you have to search for him.
You can only retreat from challenge arenas or from LW battles.
If you are the guy with a 100x100 hexes arena without a price and 4 small units inside - don't do such things. This arena is too big to find the enemy in an acceptable time.
