Pirates deleted my infra

Pirates snuck into one of my smaller empires (lvl 4/5) and successfully conquered all my zones. The empire is still a lvl 2 due to BV in training, but the zones that held my cities were unclaimed by the pirates. Upon claiming the former city zones with a second empire, there was nothing remaining of ~15k pop+res/comms.

Don't put all units in training at the same time. Log in once a day or more than 1ce a week, and if you didn't have more BV you had a 5:1 pop:BV. With 2-5kBV remaining you'll do fine as a balanced lvl3.
The risk of infra farming has been discovered.

I'm quite aware of how to run an empire, thanks though. I do log in multiple times a day, and I did not have all or even half of my BV in training. The pirates attacked while I was very much asleep, and the battle resolved on the dubious ABR system. Further, I was not building infra, it was given to me and I was in the process of improving my defenses. Had the pirates remained and not deleted the infra, my units in training would have easily retaken the zones with a pilot, and I wouldn't have lost more than the units ABR killed.
The point is not that my defenses were inadequate, but the pirates deleted the infrastructure and did not allow me to retake it.

They don't 'unclaim' zones. But if there are no zones left in an empire, then pirates have completed their purpose and autodelete. (that happened to mee too)

ok sorry thought you were someone who (belated) complained about pirates. Unclaiming I have not seen with pirates so far, in that case it may very well be a bug afaik.
