I bought a salvage mech from a friend, who'd got it during battle in some war. Anyway, I bought it, and gave it a new pilot. It showed up as mobilised. I demobilised it, but... weird.

Meh, since you could demobilize it right away, it doesn't really matter that much.

Well actually not weird, cos if u think about it..if the mech died in LW then it must have been mobilised when it died.
