Overview
the stinger was the next 'mech to be upgraded. some of the config were straight copies of the wasp, but this was done to through off opposing forces as to what to expect from a lance of 3 wasp-0 and 2 stinger-0

the Stinger is has been hailed as a scout lances dream. speed, decent firepower and jump jets combine to form a lethal harraser and scout.
Deployement
widely deployed throughout the Armed Forces the Stinger is being replaced on a one for one basis in all lances. also three runs have been bought by the Canopians.

Wow, great design rationale. Light mechs, with no armor, need to be able to rely on speed to avoid getting hit. You've taken that away, why would anyone field this mech?

So why does its capabilities say it has speed? It does, that of a medium mech, but with the armor of a 20 tonner.

Grover Shrapelan wanted to show the capellans that the taurian mechyards could incorporate omni technology to the existing mech facilities available to the Concordant.
A. To show that the Concordant could and would produce its own machines.
