previously when placing a stealth tower, you`d look for the deepest hole on the map...with the new placement option, will stealth towers be placed as advantageously as placing them manually...? cyan|de

I think, the nev RNG will run with two numbers from 0 to 100 and then place the tower at the coords and not searching for the deepest hole

I think I remember something like towers where placed near the edges of the map in a hole if possible. It was written in the updats when they told us that ALL towers are palced random if you use this feature. I'll go and look when I can enter nev again.

Found it in the updates: Quote:
If you have large towers in a zone you will want to handplace those first unless you like your double range PPC towers to wind up in holes on the edge of the map with skill 8 greenhorns in them.
But I think I missunderstood that. It was just an example as it seems.

I think it was alluding to the fact that Neveron RNG would likely stick your tower in the most useless place it could possibly be, sort of telling you to place the big ones yourself. For stealths I doubt it matters much, though not being seen as soon as the mechs enter the zone could give you up to 30 minutes per zone.

yeah, as Stealth towers are cheap to build and use as trainers on maintenance (can't lance or company them for training though, for active training use TWACs). Putting stealths in the same location or type of location in each zone is dangerous as the hunter will find the pattern quickly.

Unless you are using DP, SCPs are better than TWACs. They cost less man-day oftraining and they cost about a third of the initial price of the TWAC. The only really bg advantage of the TWAC over SCPs is that one skill multi affects twice as many people.

The random placement feature is good for placing large numbers of towers in a short amount of time. They are particularly useful for larger empires, or any empire towering more than a few zones. The placements are completely random. Towers on ABR are destroyed just as quickly near an edge or in a hole as anywhere else.

nah, use Scorps for active training. Much cheaper to buy, and cheaper to train 2 Scorps than 1 TWAC. Now, TWACs for multi-ing would be nice, but still too expensive to buy.
