==Overview:==
The Pax Terra was designed by the Colonies to be the ultimate Battlestar,
massing over 500,000 tons heavier than even the Heavy Battlestar, and 300,000
tons heavier than even the dreaded Cylon Heavy Basestars!

The Pax Terra carries the latest in Colonial Gauss Technology, Heavy Naval
Gauss Cannons, the largest and hardest hitting weapon ever developed by
Colonial weapon smith and capable of the same range of fire of earlier Gauss
Cannons, also brought to this behemoth is a array of secondary Gauss weapons,
the extreme range Light Gauss Rifle, the long range and brutally devastating
firepower of the new Heavy Gauss Rifle, and the explosive firepower of the
newest generation of Anti Missile System.

The Pax Terra also carries the largest compliment of Vipers ever seen on a
Battlestar, a massive force of 360!!, and the supplies and fuel needed to keep
in a prolonged conflict, also is the 12 hard points along the hull used for
parasite warships, that while non jump capable are extremely deadly escorts
for the Pax Terra in battle, in a sense the Pax Terra is it own Battle Group.

The Pax Terra also carries the most advanced form of Composite armor ever
developed by Colonial Technology, at 6,500 tons it is also the heaviest amount
of armor mounted to a Battlestar.

The Pax Terra was built at Colonial Shipyard 17, in a small out of the way
star cluster whose ambient background radiation masked the presence of the
shipyard from Cylon sensors, allowing the Colonials to build the super ship in
relative peace and safety.

At least 4 additional Assault Battlestar's were planned if they was ever
started or completed is not know, as for the Pax Terra itself, the giant ship
was in route to the Colonies upon hearing of the final Cylon attack on the 12
Colonies, but all contact with the ship was lost, it is assumed that the Pax
Terra was destroyed by an Cylon Basestar Squadron, composed of 3 standard
Basestars.

The Tempest rebuild is based on new break threw into conventional Ballistic
Technology, though while not as long ranged as the Naval Gauss's the new
Cannons due allow for increased fire power at closer ranges, so while the long
range fire power is decreased, the overall firepower of the ship would
increase the closer the Pax Terra would get. Also with the improvements in
Ballistic tech, the Colonials where also able to improve on the older AMS
systems and provide more shot per ton than the previous version., also
featured in the rebuild is the modification of the secondary weapons, where
some of the light and heavy Gauss rifles have been replaced with some of the
newer conventional cannons for increased anti fighter coverage, also due to
the weight savings in the conversion the Pax Terra's IS was increased along
with addition of the newest heavy armor available.
