Official Empire Limit

I am having a lot of problems with more than 5 empires. As far as I know there is still no limit to the number and size of empires we can run.

Has this changed? Is there a post I can look at?

Frankly I do not want to sift through if there is not an official answer. If someone remembers one I do not mind looking.

yes, some how the code for removing empire registration limits is tied into building degradation. so in order to have 1, we must have the other.
