Targeting and Tracking System: Unknown with Bloodhound Active Probe, C3 Computer

Overview:
JMInc.'s new CHF-4T Chieftain is a radical departure from the
design firm's typical schematic. Rather than a scout, raider,
brawler, or fire-support design, this one is designed specifically to
be a command 'Mech. Outfitted with the tools to coordinate a large
force from the battlefield, it is also designed with survivabiity in
mind. While it packs perhaps the lowest offensive capability/ton of
all JMInc. designs, it has the means to influence the battle greatly,
thus making it a 'Mech not to be taken lightly.

Capabilities:
The Chieftain was designed from the ground up to be a Command
'Mech. To that end, the chassis was carefully chosen for the most
efficient mix of size and speed. A Light Engine was chosen to reduce
engine mass without adding an undue amout of risk, and Endo Steel to
lighten the frame, leaving an impressive amount of room for the tools
of the trade.
For starters, not just 1, but a pair of C3 Master computers allow
the Chieftain to control both Master and Slave units in the field.
Cutting edge ECM gear with both an Angel ECM Suite and a Bloodhound
Active Probe, as well as a Narc Beacon launcher to help bring down
anything getting close to the command unit round out the electonics.
Finally, an extra bit of defensive ability provided by a pair of
Anti-Missile Systems to help the Commander stay in the field a little
longer.
Offensively, the Chieftain is weak for its size, but still far
from useless. An ERPPC enhanced with a Capacitor provides a
significant punch at range, and a pair of X-Pulse Lasers help deter
any Light raiders attempting to slip in close. Still, it would not
be advisable for a Chieftain pilot to march into battle without an
escort, ideally one well-suited to close-quarters combat. Like a
Hunchback or three...

My Blurb: So...what y'all think off this one? I wanted dto design a purpose-built Command 'Mech. Dual C3 to link up a fair-sized network directly. Assorted electronics for the entire lance. Decent ranged fire, and it's not delicate. Comments?

I see 75, NARC, PPC and I'm thinking upgraded Orion - and I'm wrong! Maybe the Magda affected my brain, because I believe this is really a command mech. Sometimes I read that a particular mech is a faction's favored "command" mech for some odd reason or another. But this actually does something command-like with the tiered C3, long ranges, defenses, and electronics.

Is the NARC beacon defensive or offensive - as in someone gets to close, so you NARC it and have the rest of the command nuke it (+C3); or is the Chieftain actually supposed to go out and actively desginate targets? I had thought that job was left to speedy little mechs.

The NARC was an odd choice I know, added more for the sake of piling on more "gear" than any other reason. I figured it would be useful defensively, especially if the "bodyguards" carry NARC-equipped SRMs. But really, NARC is almost obsolete with the availabity of Streak SRMs and Artemis IV. I might leave the NARC as a variant and throw an SRM or something onto the priimary. Worth thinking over...

I like it! Nicely done.
