Ever since the end of WWll there has been arguments about which of the two tanks where better between the Panther and T-34. It was in the production and maintenance where the T-34 ran circles around the Panther not combat.

Many of the parts needed for the Panther actually just were outside of nazi germany's reach by 1944 (when Soviet troops, who had to upgrade their main cannons to penetrate the Panther's armor, found that their armors were of a much lower quality due to a lack of alloys) but the Germans had been making Panthers since 1940.

As for Korea I suggest you look back at your facts. The Chines routed the US troops. A lot of Americans abandoned there weapons and ran. If the US did so well why did the war end at the 34th parallel and not at the Chines border where the US got to before the Chines got into the war? The Chines fought the Americans back to the 34th parallel and beyond. The Americans bet them back to the 34th patallel and held the Chines there.

What? I can't really find much information on this. Link?

As for a smaller force beating a greatly larger force. It has happened. The best example is the war between the Zulu and the British army. I think it was 34 British troops held off an attack of like 10,000 Zulu warriors.

You need to check your facts- I cannot find anything that relates to this, not to mention that the entire war (for what it is worth) was really one-sided. Considering things like mortar rounds, gatling guns, and rifles of the british, the sword-and-lance using Zulu really had only one major victory in the opening of the war.

This is really getting off-topic.

I was a Major *pain* before
But I got a promotion.

You're a spammy jerk Donkey. For shame!

that said, this particular zombie post reminds me of two of my favorite war movies. Both the fantastic 'battle of thermopylae-ish' "Zulu!"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zulu_(1964_film)

(which is about the Battle of Rorke's Drift)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Rorke%27s_Drift

and "Zulu Dawn"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zulu_Dawn

(which is about the Battle of Isandlwana)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Isandlwana

two battles, between the same enemies, with the same vast differences in technology and numbers, but with TOTALLY DIFFERENT OUTCOMES.

...so. what made the outcomes so dissimilar? Discuss.
