Why would they?

Because this design is a whole lot better MBT than anything the clans have made.

So your design is better then every single Clan vehicle ever made?

Clan vehicles are generally not very stellar.

That doesn't mean they would drop them in favor of your vehicle.

Most won't. Those who actually would respect decent combat vehicles such as Hell's Horses would.

One clan uses vehicle in a higher ratio then others, the rest don't respect them and this design of yours isn't going to change that POV.

I can see one reason the clans might use innersphere based tanks. As target practice. I believe they suggested that in one of the books. So far only the ghost bear clan has done so. The other clans would not lower themselves to using them. They repurposed the factories.

And retry. You say them make odd configurations tells me you do not understand the clan way of thinking. They are designed to provide maximum firepower for short amounts of time. They do not expect to be around long.
Most mech warriors would fire on a tank only if it is the last unit on the field. There is no honor in anything but another mech. It is how they are raised.
Yes, the tanks can kill them.
No, it doesn't take priority, even if the only active mech is a crippled Stinger laying on the ground with no legs. That is the priority target, not the demolisher sitting on its rear.

Well...no. This is something that requires a meta-gaming perspective. Particularly, what were the writers thinking when they made the Clan designs? Because it's great that the fictional Clans would or should think something, but those Clan designs actually originated from writers who aren't Clanners and didn't necessarily strive for a coherent, Clan-oriented justification for design oddities.

A lot of the early, published Clan vehicle designs do not actually represent a coherent Clan philosophy on vehicles other than that the Clans don't give them a lot of respect or have much experience in using vehicles intelligently. As a result, even by Clan notions of warfare, their vehicles are kinda goofy.

Each khan has their ideas of what works or how it should work. Slapping together something because they think it's right is an issue.

Now if cray has inside information that he is not sharing with us, then we have a problem with the percieved issues of how the clans operate.

Since most things read about the clans in canon and non canon things suggest only mechs and elementals are the honorable units to use, then everything else is considered a waste, including their own aerofighter pilots and ship personel.

If this is not the case, show us where it is written otherwise.
