>>>I can't see munch in that scenario nor in many others using stock designs.<<<
If you don't think there's munch to be had in the Inner Sphere...
I suppose some of it has to do with the attitudes of your players. Personally, I'm constantly angry that the RFL-3N isn't as good as it looks, which doesn't begin to stop me from playing with it.

>>>Bob, I think you're being overly negative.<<<
I'm trying to drive home my point, which remains valid no matter how nice I am or am not being.
>>>Not all 'Mech designers like using the munch-a-holic strategy of PLs and TCs.<<<
And thus THEIR DESIGNS ARE AT A SIGNIFICANT DISADVANTAGE.
Paying attention?
That's what I'm complaining about, that there is a clear and obvious single best design strategy. Doesn't that bother you in the SLIGHTEST?
I can't hit the broadside of a barn (I roll bad.) I would like to be able to use PL+TC (which make hitting easier) without being called a Munchkin (because of their massive range/damage profiles.)
Balance in equipment gives some value to unique designs, something not currently present in Battletech.
