For live help about anything in the game please click on the Chat link on the Comms tab. Say 'yes' to the download and then type "/join #neveron_newbies" (without quotes of course) and there will be (most of the time) people in there from every time zone ready and willing to help you out.

I am a new player and have not been able to get the live chat to work. I get a message that says wait 60 seconds and nothing happens. Firewalls are down too.

As Newbies like me may fear that you are acting like Kanil or Tbird in this forum, i asume that most of those which are able to use IRC dont bother to join #neveron_newbies and ask their FL instead

You will find me occasionally posting useful information, and answers to questions on the Newbie section of the forums, and discrediting these posts is rather insulting. Yes, I will occasionally post in a "spam" thread (one that has lost all topic, and is merely used to collect pointless posts), but I will never turn a thread with unanswered questions into a "spam" thread.

read Kanils post #111832 in Neveron News again, and read it thoroughly. he made the attempt to give you a valuable advice. and he did it in an appropriate way, even if he should have been pissed after all the crap you were writing.

I am trying to contact those empires that are near me, as I have no open land. One guy is level 3 and has over 300 areas, but is not listed in the empire listings so I can contact him/her. The other is a level 8 empire and he/she is not listed either.

could it be that those empires have done some funny html to spice up their empire names? If yes, they might be listed elsewhere in the alphabetical list. You can also try to find the owners in neveron chat on mirc.

or you could contact them via the map. Click on the empire you wish to offer a treaty and it should be a grey link beneth their name.

I have tried to connet to live chat several times. When I tried to do it from the tab. There was never a place to download the program. When I downloaded an mirc and joined neveron_newbies there was no on on. What can I do to get on the channel?

You need to make sure you're on the right IRC network. You need to make sure the network is set to AfterNET.

I started off in the worst place ever. I have no free land around me, and there are 2 zones between my only zone and the closest zone. On the map at zoom level 1 there is only the closest square available on the map. so I was wondering if I could get some F*cking! help from an admin or an explanation as to why I can't get help.

Positions are random.
You could ask the empires next to you for help, send them a dr request explaining your situation and most large empires are kind enough to the new guys to let them take a buildable zone or 2. But please ask first, wait for a response , they may be away for a couple of days , so give them time to answer.
The other thing to do is save 25 million to claim another zone elsewhere on the map.
Or since you have just started, and may not want the hassle, just start another empire and hope for a better position.
You can have 5 empires so start your others now.
Your current empire wil autodelete after 7 days if you do not log in, so start the other allowed empires, wait the the other to delete and then start your fifth and final empire.

I know my experience in going into chats and spending time in there has for the most part been a waste of time . Sometimes there are questions being asked and answered or folks are talking about the game but a good half of the time it seems that people are talking about who they banged the night before or who they are going to bang tonight . I went into one alliance chat where the gal running it was in the middle of some S&M thing with one of the guys in there , I thought I was back in the MSN chats for a minute . <br>
<br> I understand that conversation will wander but if we made an attempt to keep it more along the lines of game related topics more people might use the chat rooms .

This isn't what this topic is here for. Next time, make your own topic with your question.
You got the bulk of it. Each unit has a set BV for an average pilot (an average pilot is a 4/4). The lower your skills, the higher your BV. More powerful units have larger BV. Here are some examples.
4/4 Behemoth's BV > 4/4 Vangaurd Medium Tank's BV
4/4 Behemoth's BV < 1/1 Behemoth's BV
