The New Beginning (New-empire tale - Part 1)

[OOC]Thought I would just try and make some tales of my empires trouble in it's early stages. Something to give all you big guys a reminder of how easy, hard and confusing it was.

"Fellow citizens. I have a dream.
A dream of a new beginning! We need not linger here in the mud and garbage of our betters. The people of Terra do not recognize us as real people anymore. Through contacts I have now secured a ship to the far-off world of Neveron. A world with new opportunities and possibilities. I dream of a great empire with economic freedom and a military might to stand out and feel secure. I want to raise us, the scum of Terra, to a higher class and wealth. Why can we do this? Because we at the ones who have worked hard all our life, and if we do this in the new world, we will get an effecient and powerful nation."

Lt. Runei sat in the little office and signed the last papers of yesterdays buying of land. Behind him stood his lang-time friend and trusted ally, Lt. Leviathan. He had already given a name to his new nation, The Gray Habours, since they would habour what was called scum and low-class people from Terra. Gray because of its neutrality. The building he sat in was tall and was of great quality. Big enough to house the onehundred people that populated this small brick in the universe. Gazing out the big window he saw the plains roling away. His new home. His. He smiled to himself and nodded to the businessman leaving with the signed papers.
- "First orders, sir," asked Lt. Leviathan and smiled at his friend Runei. The emporer smiled back and nodded.
- "Get hold of an entrepeneur. Im going to build the first workplace for the people. We live on what little money we was given by the greater organizations, and we can survive a few months with this. So lets commence on building a comercial building to give us some income. I trust that mr. Hattin, one of those newly arrived, has some experience in dealing with finances. He will be in charge of that building." Leviathan nodded and asked:
- "What about security, sir?"
- "We have the four jeeps with those good voulenteers. I guess if you got hold of a hundred soldiers to use those rifles we found in the dumped crates, we could have some form of security." Leviathan was turning away to do as he was told, but was abruptly halted, "And! When you bought them you send them through two training periods. Both of 8 days of training. Understood?"
- "Yes sir!" Runei nodded and Leviathan left the office, leaving the new emporer at his desk with the dreams. He dreamt of great deeds and alliances, but he new it was a long way. The New-nation organization of Neveron had taken his empire under their wings to give protection and help. He needed both, he knew, until his power had been established. It would take time, but if time was the only fee apart from hard work, he was more than willing to sacrifice enough of it. The future lay before him, he had just to extend his arm and grasp around it. But it was fragile, and had also to be gently touched and nursed. Politics and enemies was also a thing that would soon come into play. But he had a good idea of how to remain neutral and gain more allies than enemies.
The sun went down over the hills and sent its red light across the sky. Outside the people he had brought here sat in the garden talking happily with each other. Many of which had just escaped a crappy existance on Terra. That was over, and Runei wanted to give them what they had never had before. Freedom, might and respect.

[OOC] Hope you liked the story. I will continue until my empire has reached a level where there will be too much to cover. I will most likely stop the tales after I have reached level 1.
But here it is. Response is welcome. Please note that english is not my native language and some words might be used in a wrong sentence giving it a completely different meaning.
