crying adults, and other fun stuff...
      #163972 - 02/12/12 10:54 AM (24.19.129.178)

weak. just stop playing then and carry on with you life, in other words - leave. that includes this forum.

i never understand how some people can cry "wahhhh i spent money DONATING and now think i have a vested interest in something that is just a game." and my personal favorites " STOP PLAYING THIS GAME because the owner is doing what he wants with it... you are ruining hours of MY WORK... what's that dear? yes i am going on about that silly GAME again... no i didn't use that credit card for that 'donation' again... yes i need more sunlight... yes i know the effects of vitamin D Deficiency… “

seriously folks – just MOVE ON.

actually don't leave, i like to stop by every once in awhile for the entertainment and mandramma.

The question is not how far, the question is do you possess the constitution, the depth of faith, to go as far as needed?

The danger is that people see their donation as a right to a say in games future.

To put this in context I would choose donation to a political party. You donate money hoping your preferred candidate gets in and enacts policy that favours you, or favours your view point, or its the less of two evils. This is as much as it gets you, it is tacit support.

Then we have "cash for questions", cash for peerages (UK) and to some extent the payment of lobbyists to fight your corner. People who expect these privileges for their money are in the wrong on the concept of donating.

So here we are: Your donations help keep the game running. They do NOT ultimately buy you a say in what changes are enacted. Show your frustration by stopping them, or by making decent arguments against an implemented change but do not think it is your right that they get listened to. We've all supported politicians who have got into power and then gone back on policys!

While I do not dispute you, this game is one of relationships and a society. For any society to function it requires a certain degree of trust whatever an individual's station. SM has no concept of this which was apparent from the moment he took over.

No I agree. For the most part I have watched quietly from the sidelines, and to be honest a while ago I did state that it would be in his interest to make some popular decisions to lessen the blows of the unpopular (but necessary) changes.

Its give and take. We all know stuff is wrong with the game, we all have an opinion on how it should be fixed. However the fact that you donate $1000 or nothing in a game in which it is optional to spend money should not influence the weight of your argument.

I would say the best fix for a lot of systems is something where the concept is sound, but the values attached to it are flexible. To be honest, we have that in the new training system. Now its time to balance the values and get things to a sensible level.

I would say the best fix for a lot of systems would be to identify the ones he is looking at changing, and letting the community comment upon and make suggestions to improve them.

That's what he said he would do, and if he had just done that I think this community could have assisted him in fine tuning the ideas.

This community has demonstrated three things about itself over the past few years:

1. Its full of very angry people that rage when they feel they are being disrespected or treated unfairly.
2. But these people are also on the whole very intelligent and able to dissect Neveron's systems at a fine level of detail.
3. And these people are also on the whole willing to promote ideas that harm their own empires for the betterment of the game (as demonstrated by dozens of sarna threads over the past year+)

Not long ago, SM, you referred to being diplomatic with this community as "PC crap" that you would "never do". I think that is a huge mistake. This community may be temperamental and overly sensitive at times, but it knows what it is talking about and represents a body of ideas and knowledge worth a hundred times what your little black book and Randy's ideas combined are worth.

Cray has warned me about personal attacks, but this is personal. SM has lied since before he gained Neveron. He has repeatedly broken his promises and ignored every single piece of advice. He has made changes to the game specificly to eliminate years of hard work and real money. I only wish I had been as bright as most of my faction-mates who got out as soon as he started all this crap.

LMFAO

Quote:

"Neveron is NOT going any where. It is NOT Neverons intention to drive anyone from the game. Neveron DOES need to change at the fundemental level in order for it to not only survive, but to once again thrive in the future. Players that are not willing to change with Neveron, should consider why they are not willing to change. For the player that is still unhappy with the new direction of Neveron, they need to accept that Neveron no longer offers them any entertainment value."

Let me pick out a single sentence...

I think the thing SM has no freaken idea about, is that most people are not concerned so much with the direction of neveron, but the bull **** attitude, the constant broken promises and lies, and basically, we're sick of SM.

I never felt Neveron was driving me from the game, I feel it's the 'admin'. Those who were his biggest supporters are now his largest detractors.

You are a lier SM, and are completely un-trustworthy. You say and do whatever you need to, to gain support, but when the rubber hits the road, you're simply talking out your ****. Until YOU are willing to change, neveron has no hope.

It's just plain ignorant to keep saying the people with a problem are just not happy with the game changing.

We're not happy with:

A. How we are being treated.
B. Implementation.

Change is necessary. Let me say that again. Change is necessary. Let me say that one more time. CHANGE IS NECESSARY. Let me be crystal **** clear. CHANGE IS MOTHER****ING NECESSARY WE KNOW THIS.

You are right, SM, change is necessary. You might even be heading in the right direction. Unfortunately this direction has two roads, and one leads off a cliff. Why not change lanes while you still have the chance?

Kato, remember, no one every agrees with each other either, which is why he doesn't need to talk about anything first. Mother shadow knows best

And for the record, I'm not insulting SM nor calling him a woman ok Cray?

Wow, what a change. A while back it seemed sm and cray were having difficultys on how to run this part of the forums, now cray is defending sm. I understand alot of things being said are sharply barbed, so see it needs to be blunted.

I have thought alot like sm on alot of changes, that I thought would help bring a balanced, fun for all game. Some of the stuff sm has implemented is a start, but horibbly done. Way tooo much to begin with. I really would have liked to be in the 'committee' or the 'conversation' he had with whom ever about the changes that were done. Not because I think my way is the only way, but atleast I would have brought up alot of problems before they happened. Not everyone thinks of every thing that could be wrong with things, or has the full way to do it right.

Start off small, then work your way up.
Sm did give people part of what they wanted.
A training program just like the old one.
They didnt want the super costs that went with it, nor the skill ups that came as well, but thats what some people call progress.. I dont.

I'm enforcing the posting rules, which frown on directly insulting anyone (not just SM), being unnecessarily confrontational (with anyone), trolling (anyone), etc. I don't care about the topic or individual targeted by the posts. If Shadowmaster shows up and starts calling you stinky heads, I'll moderate him, too.
