Roleplaying the boredom away

At the barren area of future Xeclyfe City, a young reporter and her husband camera man are taking footage of a line of Engineering Vehicles and crews, as well as the militia units moving in two seperate directions. A pickup truck is parked nearby the news van, and a business-type is standing just out of camera range.
"Hello, and this is Rebecca Mitchell reporting. Here at the undeveloped Xeclyfe City area, engineering and commercial construction crews are being moved out, into Dragon Memorial Park and some all the way back to Illusia. The orders for this move comes from Military Commander Draconis Chastine, who has officially reached an agreement for the transfer of a repair facility to the Empire's grounds. While no citizens are uprooted, this does delay plans of commercial tycoon Robert Pavilion for quite some time. I have him here with me now. Care to say a few words, Robert?"
The mic was moved over and the camera-man, brother of Alan Mitchell, panned to the business-type.
"Well, while I understand that a repair facility is neccesary for the repairs of local units, commerce should be the main focus! Already the country's leading trades are commerce and research, and steps are being taken to further lead us all into financial prosperity! This move sets back months of planning, and while it may not be for long it will seriously slow our efforts. With this, and the new "Mutual Gain of Military and Commerce" bill passed, the country's likely to continue at it's moderate income and much too large defenses! No aggression has ever been taken against the country and there's no reason to expect future attacks. Why, if I was in..."
"Unfortunately Robert, I'm going to have to cut to commercial. Thank you for watching, and keep tuned to hear the latest breaking stories from all over the Empire of the Two Moons."
Hastily, Rebecca and crew packed up and bid a farewell to the still-ranting Robert. As they drove off, he paused to glance around and realized he was no longer talking to anyone. Fuming, he stormed to his truck and drove toward Dragon Memorial Park.

I suppose I could continue it, might add a twist that won't be in the real Neveron experience. Think I might just do that. Machina (latin for "machines") and battles were always more fun to create for me.
