A friendly donation (New-empire tale - Part 2)

The rain poured down from the skies leaving the small Township, known as The Gray Citadel, in a muddy existance. The civilians crowded in the local pubs and those that were not drinking spent their time at home relaxing. It was weekend and the workers had a day off. In the tall office building Lt. Runei and administrator of The Gray Habours, a landmass of about 60 squarekilometres, was reading the days news when his loyal and most betrusted friend, Leviathan, entered.
- "Sir, I've got a message from the administration," said Leviathan and closed the dorr behind him, awaiting a signal from his surperior.
- "Yes, take a seat friend," Leviathan marched to the table and sat down on the opposite side as Runei.
- "It's the stats of the town that have been updated during this week. The final numbers are ready," Leviathan told while looking out the big panorama window behind his Commander in Chief.
- "Lev... I want to thank you for voulenteering to bring your veteran soldiers with me up here. Not everyone would dare leaving the army for a purpose like this," Leviathan smiled as he was reminded.
- "I believe in you, Runei, you have always been a teacher to me. Most of my men were also willing, since they all needed a new life. Maybe they do not come from the same class as many of the civilians, but still they can see a chance for a better way of living. Be it hard or not." The two friend smiled at each other. Runei put down the newspaper and looked at his the sergeant.
- "Well?"
- "The number of civilians now exceeds 700 and we still got six more residential buildings to finish. We have stored this months profit in the vault ready to be used at your command."
- "Good. Now here is the plan. Find me some good vechicles to defend this town. Something with firepower but also something that can take a bit damage. And, I have a surprise." Runei took from his pocket a little letter, which he gave to Leviathan. While he read it his eyes grew big.
- "70 million Nevdollars?! Who donated that?"
- "A friend of mine back on Terra. He was generous enough to think about me, even though im quite a distance from him, and it's been sometime since we last spoke. He wrote to me also, that there are more that will arrive, when I need it. He gets information of my doing and will blow a bit into this project. The money is to be used good, mainly on the military. We need a good defence if we are to stand against the future problems. But it wont be long before I will begin thinking of buying a Mech... With a mech in this state we will be able to withstand any pirates that might attack."
- "Looks like we got brighter times ahead," said Leviathan. Runei nodded but then lokked strictly at Leviathan.
- "I want you to send engineers to the zone northwest of here. There are a big land with space for about 600 buildings. That will be where we will contruct a new city. Tell the engineers to make landmeasurements tomorrow and next week. I want to results in two weeks and a report on how best to plan start a new settlement."
- "It will be done, sir!" Leviathan stood up and saluted the officer. Runei took a stand too and nodded at his friend.
- "Go now and do your duty." Leviathan turned around and marched out the door after leaving the empire-report on Runei's disk. Runei smiled. Everything was going fine now. Everything went the right way.

[OOC] I made it to level 1!!! Had to throw in a few DP to speed it up, but now I finally got settled and am ready to begin planning this empire better. Hope you liked the story, there will probably be one more part in the tale before I will think about leaving [NOOB] and finding a faction to be a member of.
