Trading in your old Mechs

Here is an idea, how about the ability to trade in old mechs when purchasing new mechs. All we need is a Battle Mech Blue Book! I for one have a few mechs that I would like to get rid of but I can’t bring myself to scarp them. Anyway it’s an idea.

I like that idea. Give us 1/2 the going rate for the trade in, Randy would make a fortune on the used mech market.

Sounds rather fun. A slightly changed crit repair failure code could be used when putting a used mech on the market to account for their 'usedness', like a slightly misadjusted laser, or a slightly depleted ammo bay, faulty heat sinks, etc. Small glitches, like used cars have, nothing crippling...
Number of glitches could be linked to price range determined by the player selling. Sell it at 50 percent of the normal price: x rolls on the crit failure table. Sell it at 25 percent: 2x rolls, etc.

MMMMmmmmm. Cheaper mechs. I am all for it! Now if only lv2, lv3, and lv4 empires made more money.

Awesome idea. EVen if they couldn't be re-purchased. It would make replacing those medium mechs with heavy-assaults much easier.

Interesting idea. Randy would probably nerf it but I like it. Value should be decided by demand of mech type though it would probably be easier if we could decommission mechs as apposed to going about it this way. Then you could sell them from your armory directly. Best of all the code is already there. *sighs*
