Kjun, have you been into Irc chat yet?
Thats is a great place to meet other players in a more 'real' enviroment. There you will be able to search for good deals on units, get general advice, as well as find a group of people you would like to become faction mates with
#Neveron_Newbies is a help channel run by volunteers
#Neveron is the main chat channel for any player

I usally come on around 9 to 10 at night since I work during the day and mostly active during the night.

9 or 10 PM where tho...this game is played by people all over the world...need a time zone listed if we are to try to figure out when you are on
Also do you use the same nick in chat that you do here? or are you one of those people that have 10 different names? ie - who am i looking for
And there is almost always people in #neveron
#neveron_newbies is a bit slower, but the more willing helpers stay in the newbie channel and help when they can
that channel can be quiet for days...then you might get 3 or 4 new people that actually pop in there
The other thing you need to remember about newbie is that we are not sitting there waiting for noobs to finally log in and ask a question...we might have to wander off and say, eat, or sleep. When you do finally log into chat, ask a question...if you dont ask, we wont answer...and give us a few minutes to notice that there isa new player in that channel, who has actually asked a question.
By entering BOTH channels, you increase your odds of finding a real live person to talk to.
Also the weekends tend to be busier at any point in the day. Much like you have to work and do other such real life things...so so the rest of the players...every one plays at thier own times, when they can.

Im usually on around 9 to 10 central time time and yes I use the same name as in the forums Kjun but everytime I gointo the chat area people are always like bloody newb or bastard wanker or im not worthy lol I did not know there was a neveron newbies area to go.

...ummm... Are you sure you were in #neveron? In all my more than 4 years of Neveron, I have not witnessed such kind of behaviour towards noobs at all.

Kjun...9pm your time will be 11pm for east coast...most players will be heading for bed to get up in the am by then. the later you get on, the less likely you will see USA players in chat. Overseas, it most cases its already the next morning for them by then, so they are on thier way to work, if not already there. You will see a huge difference on the weekends.
As for the 'influx' on noobs, lets consider not everyone uses chat. Many players dont use the forums until after they have played for months, even then rarely. If you watch the main chat [#neveron] you will see ne names popping up in there all the time. This game has always had new faces come and go, thats part of the game. The most common comm tool used by noobs is the faction mail. Many noobs misunderstand that the noob faction is a starting place, and not really a true faction. Many will quit after getting maimed by 'faction mates' of Noob. They never even find the forums, let alone chat.
Since the two of you guys seem pretty active, watch Noob faction mail, and respond to new players. Instruct them how to get into either the forums or better, chat. Specifically, #neveron_newbies channel. There are plenty of vetern players who are willing to help out new players get started.
Make sure that you are joining the right Irc servers. You must be on AfterNET servers, then try to join the appropiate Neveron chat channels. There used to be instructions when you opened chat, as to what channel to go join. That may have been lost we we switched over to the new Irc client. If you use the link provided by the game tho, you should be joining an AfterNET server, and joining the main room. At that point, you just simply type " /join #Neveron_Newbies, and a 2nd window will pop open, and you will be in the noob help room. You do NOT need to close the first chat window, or any other windows you may have open already.

Since its the school year or high school for some ppl and collage and university for others chat isnt as active as it used to be and faction mail is very quiet.... And ya i quit like 2 times bcause i didnt understand that anyone in da 'newbie' faction were potenial enemies and friends... Thx shadow

In fact, if you pay real close attention, you'll note that the vast majority of problems in neveron that require help are caused by americans.
So...care to explain your reasoning? Or is it just another example of blind belief in superiority dispite overwhelming facts to the contrary?
