In risk of coming off as a bot-advertisement, I'd like to share this company that looks purdy nifty...
Thier tool allows building of a robot through a GUI - and even paint and detail, pose-able... it all just takes a lil bit of time.
2" repro's are $18 (a bit high for battletech mini's) - but there is some real potential.
I spent about 10 minutes with shapes and designs, and was able to build something ALMOST resembling an Atlas...
