Dont know what happened to the first post, but will try to recreate it.
I say make the raffle date the day you actually bought the head and heart ach we all know and love as neveron. This should avoid any religious implecations or any other sort of problem.
I would like to know where we are to post what items people will donate, as one of my empires can actually build some stuff that would be nice to get into the raffle.

Christmas raffle is so much better! 
Why should we avoid religious and traditional implecations? Cause a few lame **** people complain (cant think of anything better to do I guess).

ok keep it christmas raffle. What day and time is all i need to know. May not be able to be in chat this time. Work schedule changed.
Still havent seen the answer to where we post what we will donate to the raffle. Yeah, im lazy and dont wanna start another post. I want it to sound official, and lets face it, im not in the admin area.

what about the bonus mech drawing that already go by? due to my holiday work sch i prob wont be on during the raffle. but ive always pitched in some stuff, and always had no issues getting people their stuff. l8rs DABOSS

The usual time has been Christmas morning, 0000 GMT works as that makes it 7pm on Xmas Eve for yanks.

Yup, makes it about 12pm (maybe 1PM) Xmas day for me. Not sure if I'll be able to be on at that time, but makes perfect sense to have it then.
Random dates, well, people just wont care as much imo.

apparently you guys have failed, yet again, to bother reading or comprehending the original post in Neveron News about the raffle.
First, there is no need for players to donate items, to give them to other players...NEVERON will be providing all items to the Player Appreciation Event.
Second, the event has specifically avoided holidays so that people can actually go spend time with their families. Yes, there are actually people that like to spend time with their families, even if you don't.
Third, the event should not impose a particular belief system on all other players. Im not asking you to reword your national anthem, or ban books from your school. The event will simply not be refered to as Christmas, or New Years, or any other such 'holiday'. Its an event that Neveron wants to show its appreciation to its players. So what better name than "Player Appreciation Event"?
As for the date of 'purchase'...well that was like 42 days ago and really only two people knew about it at that time. As for the data that the sale was publically announced in the updates, that was Feb 1st. The logical approach there is to simply make it something like the first weekend in February, possibly on a Saturday night.
The 00:00 GMT time frame, we need to hear from more players if that time works for them. Should we get a consensus for that time, then we will use that and see how it goes.
This 1st weekend is a random date, but the time frame is not. Players that can't be bothered to show up for a free item give away simply because its not of their favorite holiday, probably where not going to show up on Christmas Eve either.
The June/ July fund raiser has NOT yet held the 100t prize drawing. That will be annouunced in the updates once its scheduled.

OK so as many of you already know, "Neveron" donated items to the 2011 Player Holiday Raffle, held on Dec 25th. Overall it was a fun time for those that attended. I think it lasted somewhere around 4 hours from start to finish. There where some really decent prizes handed out as well.
For those players that donated items, please make sure that you are coming back into #Neveron so that the winner can find you to claim their prizes. Lots of winners looking for donors every day since the raffle.
Since the Player Holiday Raffle was in fact held this year, and Neveron already donated to that raffle, the Player Appreciation Event will not be held this February. February 2013 will be the first official Player Appreciation Event. As I have mentioned before, ideally we will have that event at our first Las Vegas Nev Con!
We may still try to host the 'picnic' event in August if there is enough interest in it. Im sure we will have lots of door prizes at that event as well.
So until next year! :O)
