Research: progress color-legend?

Green = ?
Yellow = ?
Red (?) = ?
Black = Completed
I could speculate, though the only things I could think of - is "completion after 1 NevYear?", and "% of total research allocated towards tech."

Yellow = < 365 nevdays remaining
Green = < 730 nevdays remaining
Black = Longer

Well, that's sort of pointless then, considering there's already a numerical value listed.
Thank you for the clarification! It's taken me 2 years to finally ask that question.
Though it does seem a little confusing - I currently have 9 Nevdays remaining on Infantry Heavy Armor - and it shows Green, Red, and yellow: See attachment
