Research generation calculations

I suppose this was plainly staring me in the face the entire time...
though I've only just now figured out that the "Commission Building" function's "Anual Research Points" value represents the number of workers/100...
Eg: 1 building, 1 level high @ 25CF w/basement = .06RP (annually) 1 building, 4 levels high @ 25CF w/basement = .18RP (annually) 1 building, 2 levels high @ 75CF w/basement = .24RP (annally)
These buildings also employ the following number of workers (respectively): 6 18 24
Therefore, in order for a FRESH empire starting out to generate the 1Research Point (necessary to discover Light Buildings: 25 Construction Factor, for example) over ONE NEV YEAR - they will need to build:
15 Research Facilities, 4 levels high @ 10CF w/basement = 1.06RP (annually)
In order to support this, they will also need: 60 Housing units, 4 levels high @ 10CF w/basement
We've been told that we need a 4:1 resident to worker ratio, however knowing just that, is next to useless when buildings are mixed levels and CF's.
Being able to calculate the number of RP and time needed to reach a goal, will help me plan much more betterly figure the number of buildings and costs. *I ONLY WISH I KNEW THIS FROM THE BEGINNING - AND NOT JUST THE "4:1" RULE (Yes, I *now* know about the 'construction worksheet' - but this method is easily memorable).
Research Workers needed per NevYear (36.6 days): 100
Research Workers needed per REAL week: 523
Research Workers needed for 1RP per REAL DAY: 3,660
Technology Complex RP Production per REAL week: 19.125

to not have to research 25 cf buildings, you need to do the quest. Granted if its not working, then yes, you are stuck having to research it.

Thank you Ghostrider - I suppose I had forgotten about that, since it had been so long that I last tried the available 'quests'.
The workers to Annual Research Points is accuate (100:1)

there will be many changes to the game over the next year...including additional quests and likely some tweaks to the existing one. The game is missing many fundamental items including a basic Help System that would have explained this and many more items to all new players trying to learn the game
for example in the future, a new empire will not be allowed to build anything until they complete the 1st quest, where you earn the 25 CF research item as a quest.
the various types of Construction Factor [CF] currently available may actually add more confusion to the average new player than 'choices', so it may be simplified to the factors of 25/50/75/100/125/150 CF to simplify things
