I created my own thread, as to not clutter Pimps.
Great post.
Some players were pointing this out over a year ago, no one listened, pity.
A great idea to help move things forward, but it is way too late. Once you cheat on your wife, things are never the same. Most likely she will never trust you again. It is time for a divorce and move on. If we (as players) had put our money into a NEW project 18 months ago, I have little doubt we would be playing it to some degree right now. When one side of a relationship does not trust, it will never work.
End result: the relationship (IMO) between players and SM is broken beyond repair.
I will personally never trust him again.
Some things that may help some players mend the relationship:
1. For SM to admit he has done things improperly at the expense of his player base.
2. Appologise for taking forver to reward players for donating and a few other things, degradation comes to mind, telling us it is a bug.
3. LISTEN to our ideas, they are a lot better than yours, Randys, or yours and Randys put together.
4. PLAY the game without cheating for a YEAR. Allow yourself to be dowed, lets see how your attitude changes...
5. Hire someone (NOT RANDY) to code the game.
6. Start documenting everything, you really NEED to do this, it isnt an option like answering PMs
7. Build a test server.
There are several things that should have been done before you even plugged the servers in. It appears from a player standpoint a lot of the prep work was ignored. When you do this, production environment becomes....well you know by now... right?
